We are Bona Fide.
For almost 10 years, analytically minded students at S.B.V. Bona Fide have been investing in collective portfolios. Through collaboration, we expand our knowledge, making us better investors and better prepared for a future in the financial world.
Delft's investment society; by students, for students.
Our journey began in 2014 with a visit to the Zuidas—the financial heart of the Netherlands. As a group of TU Delft students enrolled in the Finance minor, we toured institutions like ABN AMRO and Kempen & Co to gain firsthand insight into the workings of the financial sector. For many of us, it was our first time setting foot on a trading floor.
We quickly discovered that applying our technical and analytical skills to real-world financial problems was both intellectually stimulating and deeply rewarding. Though we were trained as engineers, the world of finance sparked something new: ambition, curiosity, and a drive to understand markets at a deeper level.
By the end of the minor, one thing was clear—finance wasn’t just an interest; it was a potential career path. What started as a company visit became the foundation for a student-led society focused on developing a broad and rigorous perspective on finance.
Together, we established our own investment association where we could apply the theory from our minor. We manage our portfolios collectively, adjusting positions based on thorough company research and close monitoring of financial news. Additionally, we continuously expand our knowledge through weekly discussions, company visits, and guest lectures by industry professionals.
Currently, many of our members and alumni work for major firms such as Robeco, Flow Traders, Morgan Stanley, Jump Trading, and Goldman Sachs. We believe that Bona Fide provides the perfect platform to exchange ideas and thereby become better investors, poised for a future in the financial world.
